Tumble Dryer

FAQ's

When the door isn’t sealed properly, your tumble dryer may leak water. To prevent this, check the inner surfaces of the door and clean any lint that has accumulated on the seals. You can wipe the seals with a soft damp cloth.

It’s normal for heat pump tumble dryers to make a metallic noise. The pump compressor makes a metallic sound while functioning. This isn’t a malfunction. If you hear more of a scraping sound, check the drum for foreign objects and remove them. If your appliance isn’t operating normally while making this noise, contact an authorized service agent.

If your appliance is new or hasn’t been used in a while, it’s normal to hear a rumbling noise for a few minutes. If the sound is loud and continuous, the rollers that help turn the drum may be worn out. If you suspect this to be the case or if the appliance isn’t operating normally while making this noise, contact an authorized service agent.

As the dryer drum rotates, especially with bulky loads, the dryer moves slightly while it's running. If the wheels or legs on the bottom of the dryer have become loose or uneven, they can cause a squeaking sound. If the sound is loud and continuous, and the appliance isn’t operating normally while making this noise, contact an authorized service agent.

Many dryers have drum support rollers. These rollers can become worn over time and lose their shape. This causes the dryer's drum not to rotate properly, leading to a thumping or squealing sound.

Yes, this is normal.

When gas burns, the primary combustion products are carbon dioxide and water in the form of steam. This causes some fogging as the oven heats up. Once the oven reaches the set temperature, the moisture will dissipate, and the fog will clear up. Foods that have high moisture levels like turkey and fish may cause more condensation than usual.

This means that the child lock on your tumble dryer is active. To deactivate the child lock, press the sound notification/buzzer button and the start/pause/cancel/end duration button simultaneously for three seconds while any programme is running. The lights on the buttons will flash while you do so.

You can also switch the programme selection knob to the On/Off position while no programme is running to deactivate the lock.

The procedure to activate/deactivate the child lock may vary depending on your model. If the procedures described above do not work, consult your user manual. If you’re having trouble finding your manual, download it here using your product’s model number.
