Turn your leftover octopus into a scrumptious, tangy treat with our simple pickled octopus recipe. The process is simple, and the results are incredibly flavorful. Pickled octopus can be a perfect addition to your salads, antipasto platters, or just enjoyed on its own!

Ingredients:

 

  • 300 g boiled octopus

  • 500 ml apple vinegar

  • 30 ml olive oil

  • 5 g salt

  • 2 cloves of garlic

  • 2 bay leaves

Preparation:

 

  • Roughly chop the boiled octopus into bite-sized pieces.

  • Peel and finely chop the garlic cloves.

  • Place the chopped octopus in a clean, airtight jar. Add the chopped garlic and bay leaves.

  • Add salt to the jar and pour in the apple vinegar until the octopus is fully submerged.

  • Drizzle olive oil on top of the vinegar. Ensure the jar is sealed airtight.

  • Allow the jar to sit in the refrigerator overnight to allow the octopus to absorb the flavors.

  • Your pickled octopus is ready to serve! Use it in salads, side dishes, or enjoy it as is.
