A Bright and Tangy Dessert Base

This Lemon Peel Custard recipe incorporates lemon peel powder made from oven-dried lemon peels for an intensely citrusy flavor. Turmeric adds a lovely color and an earthy taste, while vanilla extract gives the custard a warm, comforting aroma. Use this custard as a delightful filling for cakes and pies, or as a base for ice cream and other chilled desserts.

Ingredients:

  • 5 lemon peels

  • 1 L milk

  • 85 g sugar

  • 30 g butter

  • 20 g flour

  • 16 g starch

  • 3 g turmeric powder

  • 5 g vanilla extract

Preparation:

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.

  • Carefully remove the yellow part of the lemon peels using a knife.
